How we work
The operation stays with your team. So do we.
Build + Transfer + Retain: the model Emerald uses to sustain relationships that last years.
Let's talk — 30 minutesAnyone who has bought software before carries two opposite fears.
One is being tied to a vendor that never lets go, with a system only they understand. The other is that they hand everything over and disappear, leaving a system nobody on your team knows how to keep running.
Both end the same way: the operation depends on something you do not control.
Three phases, a relationship that lasts years.
- Build
We build
We design and stand up the whole system, on standards your team can hold afterwards.
- Transfer
We transfer
Your people start running the day to day, trained by us, on an architecture they can maintain without depending on third parties.
- Retain
We retain
We stay in charge of strategy and of how the product evolves. It is contracted separately: this is product direction, and the call on where it goes.
What staying looks like.
The backlog is shared. It lives wherever your operation needs it, on your board or on ours, and both sides see the same thing.
Every quarter both teams sit down to review where the product is going. Between one showcase and the next, progress is shown as it ships.
Where you come in.
The usual entry point is the Build Plan: ten days to walk out with a tested prototype and the proposal for how it gets built. The model starts from there, if you decide to go on.
Build PlanFive years, the same team.
We built the platform, transferred it to the client team that runs and develops it today, and we stay in charge of product direction.
